16 villages declared red zones in Pulwama

COVID-19: Eidgah and Lal Bazar declared as containment zones sealed after several positive cases reported from the areas

As two new positive cases of COVID-19 surfaced in the district, the authorities on Wednesday declared Rohmoo, Gusso and Frasipora villages of tehsil Rajpora and Reshipora Chirat, Monviji, Banderpora Chirat, Wandakpora, Kakapora Town of Tehsil Kakapora as Red Zones .

The villages including Mirgund, Zaigam, Mitirigam, Chewa Kalan ,Wahibugh,Tujan and Thokerpora as buffer Zones in Tehsil Rajpora; Galbugh, Lelhar, Hajibal, Ratnipora from Tehsil Kakapora and Goripora from Awantipora Tehsil as buffer zones .

The precautionary measures were taken when two persons from Rahmoo and Reshipora villages were detected positive for COVID-19.
