Pulwama, Sep 25,2017, Kashmir Pen: From last two months a hapless family from Kakapora town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district has been wandering from pillar to post to locate their ‘abducted’ minor girl, while police according to locals has miserably failed to bring the culprits to justice.

A family from Loolipora, Kakapora headed by Muhammad Yousuf Bhat arrived here in Press Enclave Srinagar on Monday. “My Class 7th daughter was kidnapped one Bashir Chopan of Muqam Chadoora on 18 July this year and since then she is untraceable. She had gone to fetch flour but was kidnapped by Bashir Chopan with the help of his few associates,” Bhat told news agency CNS.

He said a formal FIR stands registered against the culprits at police station Kakapora, however, the main accused is still at large. “After police failure, the Chief Judcial Magistrate Pulwama Mr Javaid Aalam directed SSP Pulwama to constitue a five member Special Investigating Team headed by a DySP. The SIT has been constituted but the case is still bogged down,” he said.

The family members believe that it is a human trafficking case that needs to solved at an earliest.

When contacted, a police official said that they have got some leads and hopefully the culprit will be arrested soon
