70 percent roads cleared in Ganderbal district: Executive Engineer R&B

Officials on Saturday said that snow clearance operations in Ganderbal district are going on in full swing.

Er. Tatheer Manzoor, Executive Engineer, R&B Division Ganderbal, said that approximately 70% of the roads have been cleared so far. ‘”Snow clearance efforts are also being carried out on some PMGSY roads in the Lar area, ” he added.

“We are working at a good pace, and snow clearance is continuing effectively,” Er. Manzoor said, adding, “We have deployed around 55 machines, including JCBs and tractors, along with manual labor to ensure timely clearance.”

Continuous monitoring is in place to ensure efficient operations, with an eye on potential icing and freezing. “If required, salt will be spread, as it was done last night,” he added
