Wali Muhammad Aseer Kishtwari and Dr. Rafiq Masoodi Selected for the “Sharaf-e-Kamraz” Award
Literary Organization Inder Cultural Forum Sumbal Sonawari Also Selected for the “Sharaf-e-Kamraz” Honor
On October 6, 2024, during the monthly meeting of the Executive Committee of Adbi Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir, a session of the award committee, nominated by the center, for “Sharaf-e-Kamraz” was held. It was unanimously decided that the Sharaf-e-Kamraz award for 2023 and 2024 will be presented to renowned Kashmiri writer Mr. Wali Muhammad Aseer and prominent author and former Director of Doordarshan, Dr. Rafiq Masoodi, respectively. Additionally, the active unit associated with the center, Inder Cultural Forum, will be awarded the Sharaf-e-Kamraz honor for 2024.
Meanwhile, among the prose and poetic creations that emerged from the Kamraz region in 2021, 2022, and 2023, one book will be selected for the Best Book award. The winner will receive a cash prize of INR 10,000, a shawl, and a memento. Some details regarding this have already been announced.
