Kashmir young writers association aim to emerge the hidden candles of kashmiri language and literature and make them visible through a series of interviews,later make their contribution visible. and do a tribute to them. This week’s interview was with Gh Qadir Hajam (SHAAD) the king of humour poetry in Kashmir valley by KYWA team Manzoor YouSuf, & Rahat Rafiq. With the media support of Kashmir pen.

The world is full of legends. In every corner of the world we come to know legends one of them is kashmir valley’s prominent poet, Short story Writer,stage drama thetre actor and the king of humour poetry in Kashmir. Shaad is a man of memories and still remember his every movement of his life. He was born in Dardpora Kreeri of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district in 1948. As a teacher he began his journey in 1964 to literature decatedly but was influenced in his school life .

In an interview with manzoor YouSuf and Rahat Rafiq he shared some beautiful movements and some un_forgetable memories, he has remained classmate to valley’s prominent poet, literist and Kashmir young writers association’s patron Mr Ranjoor Tilgami. He was the first to qualify BEC in that area. Shaad is a man of courage, love, prosperity and confession and has encouraged many people towards literature of Kashmir and kashmiri language. As head master at Wailoo in 2006 he retired from his service

Shaad in his interview said “I have written thousands of humour poems, and have penned down all other types of poetry which are in trend since then till now” . He has almost hold on every type of writing Naat, Manaajaat, Manqabat Poem (Versed and Free Verse) ode, couplet & triplet also. In answer to a question from Rahat Rafiq “why you are interested in poetry being a science student” he answered that “poetry has no thing to do with subject and field of work, it is all devine and and inner voice that keeps pinching you to hold your pen to create a message through poem for the present and up coming generation”

Manzoor Yousuf a legend poet and writer requested him to recite some of his verses then he recited some verses like this “Tagaan chu aayi chon tolun, majaala cha yi kam nikle You all know how to cheat, how it is possible that it could be exposed”

His poetry is a message to us for our better life and is full of love, confession and feelings. Besides all this his poetry is big contribution to Kashmiri language and language, it posses deviced usage of metaphors & simlies and is full of symbols also.
