Party Leaders Allege Unfulfilled Promises on Employment, Recruitment and Youth Welfare; Demand Immediate Action

Srinagar, Aug 1 : Leaders and workers of the Apni Party on Saturday staged a protest in Srinagar, accusing the Omar Abdullah-led Jammu and Kashmir government of failing to fulfill the promises made to the youth regarding employment, recruitment and welfare.

Carrying placards and raising slogans, the protesters alleged that the government had not delivered on its commitments to address unemployment and ensure timely recruitment to government posts. They said that thousands of educated youth across Jammu and Kashmir continue to face uncertainty due to delays in recruitment processes and the absence of adequate employment opportunities.

The protesting leaders claimed that the growing unemployment crisis has left many young people frustrated and disillusioned. They urged the government to immediately expedite the recruitment process, fill all vacant government posts, and introduce effective employment-generation initiatives to address the concerns of the youth.

The Apni Party leaders also stressed that the aspirations of the younger generation should not be ignored and called upon the government to honor the promises it made before assuming office.

The protest concluded with the party reiterating its demand for transparent and time-bound recruitment, better employment policies, and concrete measures to safeguard the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth.
