The Army opened fire on Wednesday morning after observing suspicious movement near the LoC at the Turkandi forward post area of Rajouri district.

Officials told GNS that at 4:30 am this morning, army troopers guarding the LoC observed some persons trying to sneak across the fence. Subsequently, the army opened fire towards the suspected spot, thwarting an infiltration bid.

More reinforcement has been rushed to the spot and search operation in the area has been launched.(GNS)
