Atleast 89 FIR’s were registers against the lockdown violators in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per the officials, following a violation of lockdown, police along with civil administration Saturday launched a crackdown against the violators in the district.
“We have sealed a petrol pump and 40 shops in violation of government’s prohibitory orders. We are taking strict action against those who are violating the lockdown,” the official said.
DC Baramulla GN Itoo told that 40 shops have been sealed in the day-long drive and 255 persons were arrested.
“77 vehicles seized, and subsequently, 89 FIRs have been registered in the northern district for violation of lockdown,” he said.
