Baramulla Police Restricts Trekking in Tangmarg Forests, Issues Safety Advisory

Baramulla, Dec 29 (KNC): Baramulla Police on Monday issued a safety advisory imposing restrictions on trekking activities in the upper forest areas of Tangmarg following an unauthorized trekking incident reported from the Danwas forest area.

The advisory aims to prevent security-related misunderstandings and ensure the safety of both locals and visitors in sensitive forest zones.

In a statement issued here to news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Baramulla Police has issued a safety advisory following an unauthorized trekking incident in the Danwas forest area on December 21.

To ensure public safety and prevent security misunderstandings, the following rules are now in effect, Local Residents, Must seek the requisite permissions from local authorities and inform the local police or administration before entering upper forest reaches, it reads.

Non-Local Tourists, Entry and trekking in upper forest areas are strictly prohibited under all circumstances, statement reads.

Baramulla Police urges the public to cooperate with these instructions to maintain a secure environment and avoid untoward incidents, it reads. (KNC)
