Srinagar, J&K – Basit Hayat Zargar, President of the World NRI Minority Federation J&K and Leh Ladakh and Youth President of the Rashtriya Lok Dal J&K, has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident in Pandrathan, Srinagar, where five members of a family, including the husband, wife, and their three innocent children, lost their lives due to suffocation.
“This heartbreaking tragedy has left the entire community in shock and mourning. My deepest condolences go out to the bereaved family, and I pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls,” Zargar stated.
He emphasized the importance of safety awareness, particularly during the harsh winters of Kashmir, when heating systems are extensively used. “This incident serves as a grim reminder of the need to educate and ensure safety precautions to prevent such avoidable tragedies,” he added.
Zargar urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and to implement effective measures to prevent such occurrences in the future. “It is vital that we address these issues with urgency to safeguard lives, especially during the challenging winter months,” he said.
