Tangmarg 9 November: A distinguished poetic symposium was today organized by Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg Kashmir at the residence of renowned poet Shafiq Karhami in Karhama, Tangmarg. The event brought together esteemed poets and literary figures from across the valley, creating an atmosphere of cultural and intellectual enrichment.
The symposium commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Peer Atiqullah Atiq, followed by a soul-stirring Naat presented by Ghulam Rasool Chopan. Presiding over the gathering was the respected President of Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg, Hilal Kashmiri, while the event’s guest of honor was Nazir Ahmad Ashai, a distinguished educationist of the valley.
The proceedings were skillfully moderated by the young poet Tousif Raza, whose eloquence and command over the stage added to the event’s charm. A highlight of the symposium was a profound and thought-provoking literary discourse by the celebrated poet Mir Afroz on Tahreek-e-Shukrana (Movement of Gratitude), which received widespread appreciation from the audience.
The symposium featured captivating poetic recitations from prominent poets, including Abdul Salam Hamraz, Hameed Kashmiri, Muhammad Akbar Kalan, Ghulam Hassan Baikas, Advocate Firdous Ahmad, and Peer Atiqullah Atiq, all of whom enthralled the audience with their verses and received hearty applause. A special prayer for the swift recovery of the Patron-in-Chief of Bazm-e-Adab Gulmarg was also offered during the event. The poetic symposium proved to be a significant step in promoting literary activities and instilling a deeper love for poetry and literature among attendees.
