“On behalf of the party unit, I extend warm greetings of Eid-ul-Fitr to people of Kashmir and hope that it would bring peace and prosperity in the region,” Bhat said.

He also stressed that there is need for social distancing and people should avoid any sort of gatherings as directed by the government.

“People must maintain social distancing and avoid huge gatherings to help the authorities in curbing the spread of the deadly virus which has so far killed 21 people in the J&K,” he said.

He said due to the prevailing situation, the whole world has been engulfed by a deadly virus. It is need of the hour to follow government advisories with zeal and dedication,” he said.

Bhat said people should take care needy and poor on the festival so that they can also celebrate the festival with their families.

As per Bhat people should keep themselves and their families safe by praying inside their homes  to contain the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

“Eid-ul-Fitr teaches us compassion and generosity. We should also appreciate and recognize the work of Police, health workers, and sanitation, who are risking their lives for our future,” he said.

Bhat also said they welcome the decision of GOI to resume the flight operations in Kashmir from Monday as there are hundreds still stranded in other states of India.

He also extended gratitude to J&K administration as they have evacuated thousands of stranded people from several parts of the country.
