Budgam, Jan 15 :The martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.), the seventh Imam in Shia Islam, was commemorated on Thursday at the Markazi Imam Bargah here. The event, organized by the Anjuman-e-Sharie Shiaan, drew a large gathering of the faithful.

In his address, the President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shiaan, Hojjat-ul-Islam Syed Hassan Mousvi Safvi, reflected on the life and enduring legacy of Imam Musa Kazim (A.S.). He described the Imam as an eternal symbol of patience, steadfast faith, and moral resistance against oppression, noting his prolonged imprisonment and persecution never led him to compromise on principles of truth and justice.

Safvi emphasized that the Imam’s martyrdom transcends history, offering a living message for oppressed peoples worldwide. “He demonstrated how to confront injustice with wisdom, restraint, and unwavering faith—a path that leads to moral victory,” Safvi stated.

Drawing contemporary parallels, Safvi cited the Islamic Republic of Iran’s endurance against sustained Western pressure and sanctions as a modern “miracle of resistance,” rooted in similar spiritual fortitude. He asserted that history consistently shows oppression to be temporary and destined to collapse.

Safvi also praised Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, whom he characterized as a figure of resilience, foresight, and principled leadership. He credited Khamenei with guiding Iran with ideological clarity while preserving its independence and dignity amid external challenges.

The program ended with prayers for global peace, Muslim unity, relief for the oppressed, and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
