Duty officer at police station Soibugh, Mudasir Ahmad told news agency  that people have encroached the government land in Soibugh and on Thursday officials headed by Tehsildar Budgam had just gone to retrieve that land to construct the Police station there. “While retrieving the land, people objected to the authorities after which clashes broke out,” he said.
He said that police took cognizance of the matte and detained 12 people who were involved in stone pelting and being part of clashes on Thursday. “They were arrested during the raids carried out by the police,” he said.
However, locals alleged vandalism of public property in the area during night raids by the police
