Kashmir Valley Shivers as Temperatures Plummet to Sub-Zero Levels Amidst the Intensifying Chillai Kalan, the Region’s Harshest Winter Period.

According to the Kashmir weather forecast, Srinagar recorded a temperature of – 4.3 degrees Celsius.

Tourist destination places Like pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded a temperature of -10.0⁰C and -8.1⁰ C.

Budgam recorded temperatures of -5.2°C. Meanwhile, Bandipora and Baramulla recorded temperatures of -4.0°C and -3.8°C.

Jammu recorded a temperature of -4.9 ⁰C , Katra town -6.1 ⁰C and Baderwah 0.0 ⁰C .

According to the MET office, January 10 is expected to be mostly dry, with cloudy conditions developing in the evening and night.

The weather will turn cloudy on January 11, with light rain predicted in Jammu’s plains and isolated snowfall in the higher reaches of both Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

MeT also forecasts dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir from January 12-14, followed by light snowfall at isolated to scattered places on January 15-16.
