Deputy Commissioner Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie on Tuesday visited Chadoora and took stock of the damage caused to several water supply schemes due to flash floods occurred on yesterday. He also visited Shrine of Sheikh-ul-Aalam (RA) Chrar-e-Shareef and reviewed post-lockdown situation with officials.

DC Budgam visited Chadoora and took stock of the damage caused to several water supply schemes hit by flash floods yesterday in which two minor girls lost their lives. He directed authorities to expedite the work on the damage caused to projects and assured by Tuesday evening repair work will be completed.

During the visit, DC interacted with migrant laborers at one of the camps in the district and asked them to stay indoors for making lockdown successful which is in the interest of the entire community.

He also visited Char-e-Sharief and took stock of the situation along with several key officials including SDM Chadoora Prince Noor Hamid and others. He, at the occasion, discussed several issues with Waqf officials in the premises of Ziyarat Sheikh Ul Aalam (RA) and directed them to execute government advisories in letter and spirit in the surroundings of shrine.
