PULWAMA, JANUARY 17 Jan 2018
A 4-month  free coaching programme for civil services prelims cum mains -2018 was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Pulwama here today.
Speaking on the occasion District Development Commissioner Pulwama Ghulam Mohammad Dar said that the initiative was taken up in order to give exposure to the candidates for taking up  civil services exams.
He further said that need of hour is to provide a platform to the candidates who have burning desires to prove their mettle but lack the basic facilities. It is pertinent to mention here that 100 candidates are taking benefit under this initiative and were selected on the basis of screening test held on 21st December 2018 and the result was declared on28th of December 2018.
While lauding the team of KAS officers who are the part of initiative, DDC Pulwama appreciated the team for their dedication and delivering the required services.
He also said that such initiatives will be taken on a regular basis in the district and in fact a proposal from District Information Officer Pulwama is ready for setting up of Residential Coaching Facility where in students will be given chance every year to compete at national levels for UPSC (IAS/IPS/IFoS) examination and in this regard DDC directed District Information Officer Pulwama to submit the proposal within two weeks.
