Dy Mayor visits various areas to monitors sanitization works

Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmad Qadri, today visited various areas of Srinagar to monitor the sanitization works being carried by Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) to contain COVID 19 pandemic.
The Deputy Mayor visited Rainawari, Alochi Bagh, Nawa Kadal, Shaheed Gunj and other adjacent areas to monitor the decontamination works.
He was accompanied by Corporator, Alochi Bagh, Ruqaya Gulzar, Corporator, Nawa Kadal, Arif Majeed Pampori, Corporator, Shaheed Gunj, Syeeda and other concerned.
On the occasion a team of workers of SMC in full protective gear and equipped with specialized machines sanitized the lanes, bye lanes and main roads in these areas by spraying sanitization chemical mixture. Besides, all the banks located in Karan Nagar were also sanitized.
It was informed that extensive sanitization drive is being carried in Srinagar with an aim to break the chain of transmission of COVID 19.
Later, the Deputy Mayor along with the team of EESL and accompanied by Chairman Street Lights Committee, Majid Rashid Shuloo visited various areas in city to take stock of the repair work of the defunct street lights.
The Deputy Mayor said that in view the month or Ramadhan the team has been activated to repair all the defunct street lights on priority
