An emergency meeting of EJAC was held at its head office under the chairmanship of Senior JCC leader, President EJAC Ab. Qayoom Wani. According to the statement issued in the meeting the problems faced by the Government,
Public sector and temporary employees were threadbare discussed and all the leaders of the EJAC showed serious concern over delay in 7th Pay Commission Reckoner, removal of pay anomalies,
revocation of SRO 202, release of pending salary of SSA & RMSA teachers, regularization of employees working under various centrally sponsored schemes like NHM, MGNREGA, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, SBM, and rumors of 33 years of service and 60 years of age, delay in regularization of temporary employees,
Inclusion of contingent paid workers, casual labourers of PSUs, local bodies and municipal corporation in SRO 520 besides reinstatement of 09 terminated employees during 2016 unrest.
In the meeting President EJAC said that the delay in resolving the issues agreed in principle by the government with the leaders of JCC and EJAC is serious cause of concern and EJAC leadership has already conveyed their resentment to the authorities at the helm of affairs and any delay in resolving the employee issues will be taken seriously and EJAC will never hesitate to go for state wide agitation if the demands of employees are not met at an earliest.
Wani urged upon the authorities to issue reckoner of 7th Pay Commission vis-Ã -vis in favour of Government and Public sector employees and demanded immediate revocation of SRO 202 besides removal of pay anomalies before issuing any SRO of 7th Pay Commission.He also warned the Government that any move or proposal for 33 years of service & 60 years of age will be taken seriously and will invite confrontation between Government and employees, even we will not waste a minute to react.
Wani also urged upon the Chief Minister for revocation of SRO 202 and reopening of cases of 09 terminated employees in 2016 unrest to provide justice to the employees. In the meeting all the leaders urged upon the Chief Minister for her personal intervention in resolving the long pending issues of employees.
