Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday seized 06 tippers and arrests 04 persons for illegal excavation & transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, “During patrolling at Mirgund Crossing, police party of Police Station Budgam intercepted 06 tippers bearing Registration numbers JK04B-571, JK04B-1859, JK01J-9891, JK14B-5222, JK01H-2177 and JK03B-4325, loaded with illegally excavated clay, 04 drivers were arrested and 06 tippers were seized on spot.”
“The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as Mohd Ayoub Dar S/o Ghulam Hassan Dar, Nazir Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Ahmad Dar R/o’s Patwaw Budgam, Adil Ahmad Lone S/o Bashir Ahmad Lone R/o Huroo Budgam and Firdous Ahmad Pal S/o Bashir Ahmad Pal R/o Sheikhpora Budgam.”
He said that case FIR numbers 90/2023 & 91/2023 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up.
