Gayoor foundation executive council met at Srinagar. Some important decisions were taken in favour of the forum.

Gayoor Foundation Executive Council met at Srinagar to review the 19th death anniversary of Sout-i-Kashmir Syed Ghulam Rasool Gayoor Andrabi which was observed on 22nd of October 2024 (at Ratnipora Pulwama). In the meeting it has been decided the anniversary of Sout-i-Kashmir will be observed twice in a year on two dates as per the following schedule. It has been mentioned here that Late Syed Ghulam Rasool Andrabi was titled posthumously as  Sout-i-Kashmir (Voice of Kashmir).
 
i) 17th Ramadhan 
Gayoor Sahab will be remembered on every 17th Ramadhan at Ratnipora which will be followed by Fateh Khawani at his graveyard and tributes at “Gayoor Ghar”.
 
ii) 22nd October 2024
Yearly anniversary of Sout-i-Kashmir will be observed regionally at centrally located place of Kashmir in Srinagar.
 
In addition to that Sout-i-Kashmir will also be remembered in Jammu region as well during the month of February/March to be decided by the executive council Gayoor Foundation Jammu Chapter. It has been observed that the Gayoor residence at Ratnipora pointed out in the article of the Gayoor Foundation constitution will be named as *“Gayoor Ghar (urdu) / Gayoor House (English).
 
One more initiative taken by the council is publication of yearly Gayoor memorial Magazine. The editorial board of yearly Gayoor memorial magazine will be headed by Vice Chairman of the foundation while as Chairman will be the Chief Patron. In this regard the following editorial board was constituted. Chief editor as Mr Sheen Meem Ahmad, Editors are Prof Rattan Lal Talashi &  Mr Ashraf Ravi, Sub editors are Mr Abdul Khaliq Shamas & Shri Vijay Wali while as members are Mr Maqbool Ferozi & Mr Khursheed Ahmad Qureshi.
 
One more initiative was taken by the council  is Awards &  certificates of appreciation. During the two programmes to be held in Jammu division & another in Kashmir subsequently, the two personalities at every place (Two from Gayoor foundation) & two from the society will be felicitated by awards & certificate of appreciation. The selection committee has been constituted by the council comprising of Chairman, Vice Chairman (Jammu & Kashmir divisions) and General Secretary (Jammu & Kashmir Division. Hence four programmes are scheduled in a year in addition to other events from time to time.
 
By the Inclusion of Mr Sameer-ul-Zaman, noted Journalist & social activist will ensure the strength of the foundation & media cell.
