The Jammu & Kashmir Government has declared offices of the Senior Superintendents of Police of the State Investigation Agency (SIA) as police stations for registering and investigation of cases.

UAs per the notification issued by union Territory’s Home Department, “In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 2(1)(u) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, and in partial modification to Government Order No.286-Home of 2021 dated 01.11.2021, the Government hereby declare the Offices of SSP SIA Jammu and SSP SIA Kashmir as Police Stations for State Investigation Agency Jammu and State Investigation Agency Kashmir for the purpose of registering and investigation of cases, specified in Annexure to Government Order No.286-Home of 2021 dated 01.11.2021 within the territorial jurisdiction of Division Jammu and Division Kashmir respectively.”
