Grenade lobbed at forces at Nowshehra fails to explode

Suspected militants lobbed a grenade at the security forces near the shrine of Hazrat Habibullah Nowsherhri (RA) at Nowshehra area of Srinagar.

The grenade, hit the road and didn’t explode. A police official said that a grenade was hurled at the joint party of police and paramilitary CRPF, deployed to enforce lockdown.

“The grenade fell on road and didn’t explode,” he told news agency, Police sources said that the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the spot and successfully diffused the grenade. Meanwhile, search operation has been launched to nab those who hurled the grenade. (KNO)
