People’s Conference (PC) General Secretary Imran Raza Ansari on Wednesday expressed worrisome over Indo-Pak border skirmishes and sympathized the families who lost their dear ones in recent shelling. He appealed both the countries to leave their personal differences aside and enforce ceasefire treaty in letter and spirit for the wellbeing of people living in both countries.

PC leader said there has been breach of trust over the ceasefire treaty that has claimed a life of a minor boy in Kupwara recently.

“Three innocent lives were lost in recent exchange of fire and artillery by Indo-Pak forces. This is excruciating what the mother has lost and it can never be compensated at any cost”, he said in a statement.

He said the current situation is different when countries are coming closer and shaking hands to win the battle against COVID-19 pandemic but unfortunately the two neighboring countries India and Pakistan are at helm of war against each other.

At the time when everyone is advised to stay home, people of Kashmir in Kupwara are evacuating the places for their safety due to which their lives have become hell. Even UN has urged all the countries to show restrain and commit to a ceasefire at this juncture. It is very unfortunate when these two countries need to concentrate on how to defeat and fight Corona virus, they are losing patience and are violating the ceasefire unabatedly, Ansari in a statement said.

He expressed full sympathy with the families who have lost their dear ones in this sad incident. He further said that both the countries should leave their personal differences aside at present and work on immediate ceasefire.
“It is necessary for India and Pakistan to stand together to defeat Corona virus, mostly when all nations across the world are fighting for a unanimous cause”, he said.
