In a major surprise check crackdown launched today, Jammu Police conducted surprise raids simultaneously at 20 spa centres across the JD of PS channi and Trikuta nagar. It was a well planned, coordinated action of Jammu police and civil administration, Officials said.
A Police spokesperson said, During the 4 hrs long operation, twenty teams led by concerned SHOs/IcPps/ other police officials accompanied by lady police officials and magistrates were deputed for the checking of the Spa centres from where number of complaints were pouring in to police and civil administration in the past from civil society members about illegal and immoral activities being carried out in these SPA centres.”
The whole operation has been conducted by Sdpo east, Sdpo south and Sp city South under the overall supervision of SSP Jammu Sh Joginder Singh.
The police also checked the documents , registers maintained in the spas and seized some DVRs to analyse the allegations.
Also Around two dozen individuals who were found in such spa centres are detained so far for questioning and legal action is being taken as per the law of the land. Moreover FIRs stand registered at the concerned police stations under relevant sections of law.
The general public and netizens have highly appreciated the action of Jammu police.
