Srinagar | March 3: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday reiterated that any attempt to change a government through external aggression violates international law, underscoring that only the people of a country have the right to determine their leadership.
Addressing rising global tensions following recent events in Iran, the Chief Minister appealed to residents of Jammu & Kashmir to express grief and concern peacefully and without resorting to unrest.
He also highlighted that the J&K administration is in close coordination with the Government of India’s Ministry of External Affairs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of Jammu & Kashmir residents — including students — currently in Iran.
The Chief Minister emphasised that those mourning developments should be allowed to do so respectfully, and appealed for calm and restraint across all communities in the union territory | Kashmir Pen
