Advisor to Chief minister, Nasir Sogami, was felicitated in Kupwara on Saturday by party workers and local delegations following his recent elevation to a Cabinet-rank position.
The felicitation programme was held at the Town Hall in Kupwara.
During the event, delegations from across the constituency met with the Advisor and raised various local developmental and public welfare issues.
Speaking to news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of the programme, Advisor Sogami said, “The government is currently focused on preparing a people-friendly and development-oriented budget.
The forthcoming budget will address public aspirations and priorities.”
He also commented on the issues faced by Kashmiris outside the Union Territory, stating, “The harassment faced by Kashmiri people outside Jammu and Kashmir and outside India is a serious injustice that needs urgent attention.”
The Advisor further added that the Jammu and Kashmir administration is working in coordination with the central government to address shortcomings and resolve public issues, ensuring inclusive development and justice for all. (KNS)
