Jammu and Kashmir Socio-Political Activist Movement urged the general public to celebrate the auspicious festival of Eid Ul Adha with simplicity, and observe SOPs to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

JKSPAM President Sayim Mustafa while wishing the entire Muslim Ummah on Eid Ul Adha said “May this Eid brings peace, prosperity and stability in Jammu and Kashmir. We pray that Allah almighty hastens release of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in various jails across India and reunites them with their families.”

The press statement read, “We are passing through a very critical phase of pandemic which is unprecedented in the recent history, therefore we all should celebrate Eid with austerity and strictly follow the SOPs.”

In the statement, JKSPAM dedicated Eid Ul Adha to frontline workers, doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, SMC employees, police, civil administrators and officials who are selflessly fighting with the virus to save lives of others.

JKSPAM appealed the general public to adhere to the WHO guidelines, use masks, strictly follow SOPs like maintaining proper hygiene, physical distancing and avoid social gatherings during Eid Ul Adha celebrations.

The group also urged responsible citizens to support and take care of poverty stricken people, especially orphans and destitutes.

The statement concluded with a prayer “May Allah almighty bless the Muslim world with peace, tranquility and serenity on this Eid Ul Adha.”
