The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association welcomed Director
Directorate of School Education (DSEJ) Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma (KAS) for assuming charge as DSEJ.
The JKTA leadership under the leadership of its UT President Bhupinder Singh presented a bouquet and submitted a memorandum of demands on the behalf of the teachers fraternity of Jammu region. The association expressed full faith on Director for qualitative educational improvement. viz a viz resolving of the key issues/ demands of the teachers.
The association also focused on bringing about qualitative and quantitative improvement in education by researching the gendar parity gaps, organising of enrolment drives and suggesting the research oriented areas which need a special focus in school education.
With regard to the perennial and non perennial issues of teachers the JKTA briefed that “we are having paculiar problems of the extended teachers fraternity which need to be looked into by DSEJ and governmental level which include Inclusion of teachers appointed under ReT scheme in ATD 2023, School choices be included in the ATD portal, Adjustment of newly promoted Headmasters and Masters, DPCs from Teachers to Masters, In-Situ Promotion of 2014 promoted Masters, Single female employees, widows and divorcee female officials should be given posting of their choice.
JKTA hoped that the perrenial demands of teachers are resolved at an earliest so that justice is ensured.
DSEJ gave a patient hearing to the demands and issues and assured genuine redressal in compatible to the policies of government. Those who comprise the delegation include Akhter Abass Naik, Joginder Dingra, Farooq Ahmed Daing, Tirath Singh Balwal, Sadaket Malik, Poonam Thakur, Ray Raj, Dhruv Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Sunil Bhardwaj, Imtiaz Ahmed, Madhu Sambyal, Neelam Kotwal, Sanjeet Singh, Mani Ram, Naresh Kumar, Joginder Radha, and many others.
