Srinagar, Oct 20 : The Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) has congratulated the Department of Tourism, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Commissioner Secretary, and Director Tourism for successfully organizing the Kashmir Marathon.
TASK President Muhammad Ibrahim Siah stated, “The marathon will undoubtedly boost tourism in Kashmir, showcasing the valley’s breathtaking landscapes and hospitality.”
Secretary General Waseem Gosani added, “This event will attract athletes, tourists, and investors, contributing to the region’s economic growth.”
TASK expressed hope that the event would become one of the top athletic events globally. “We thank the organizers, stakeholders, and participants for making this event a success,” TASK said.
Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, present at the event, remarked, “Where else can you get to run 42 kilometers in a paradise?” Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha unveiled the marathon’s logo, website, and teaser, emphasizing the government’s commitment to promoting tourism and sports in Kashmir.
The marathon’s success is expected to establish Kashmir as a hub for athletic events and tourism, attracting visitors from worldwide.
