Kulgam Police provides assistance to stranded tourists along national highway

Kulgam, Dec 28:Police officials in Kulgam have been distributing tea and biscuits to stranded passengers along the national highway after snowfall disrupted normal life on Saturday.

An official said that after hectic efforts on Friday evening, traffic was cleared, and the halted vehicles in the Qazigund section were allowed to proceed towards Srinagar.

He added that stranded passengers and truckers heading towards Jammu were provided refreshments along the highway.

“Kulgam police, in a display of prompt action and commitment to public service, provided necessary assistance to stranded tourists at Khudwani Qaimoh,” police said.
