An enormous demolition drive was launched by the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority under the supervision of Enforcement Officer in the area of Brein, Shalimar, Teilbal Wangut, Syed Colony Nishat, Lashkari Mohalla, Laam & Dhobi mohalla Shalimar in which 12 illegal constructions/structures which includes two roofings, wooden shed, two double storey, third storey one room, plinth, two compound wallings, two single storey and one 2nd storey were demolished on spot. Also encroachment on the road in the shape of Iron Ladder was removed and seized at Shalimar. Moreover, Illegal earth filling which was dumped in order to build road near Dachigam was also removed and seized on spot.
It is pertinent to mention here that amid Covid-19, when there is Lockdown everywhere the miscreants are taking undue advantage and indulging in illegal constructions but all such miscreants will not be allowed for any sort of violation and raising of illegal constructions/encroachments.
Moreover, all the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction are once again informed that not to go for any sort of illegal constructions /encroachments. As the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions.
Moreover the Tripper/Load carrier owners are directed not to carry any type of illegal construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without proper permission from the concerned agencies.
