In a first, Janata Dal United has elected National Youth General Secretary from Kashmir Valley. Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir GM Shaheen while welcoming the decision of the party on national level said it is an honour for the party that at National level any youth from Kashmir Valley has been elected as Youth General Secretary.While addressing a press Conference here in Kashmir capital Srinagar, GM Shaheen said that his party is trying hard to highlight and mitigate the sufferings of the people Jammu and Kashmir. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir especially from Valley are facing severe hardships in terms of roads, water and electricity while nothing is being done to address the grievances of common people.
GM Shaheen said the newly elected Youth General Secretary will leave no stone unturned in highlighting the problems of people of Kashmir on national platform.”The Party is delighted over the election of youth leader from Kashmir and we believe that it is high time we avail the opportunity and play a key role in mitigating the sufferings of the people,” he said.GM Shaheen thanked National Youth President Sanjay Kumar for appointing a Kashmiri youth for the post of Youth General Secretary.
Shaheen appealed Government to stop restricting internet service in parts of Kashmir as according to him, it is badly affecting business and education sectors.The newly elected National Youth General Secretary, Mudasir Ahmed Ganaie while thanking National Youth President Sanjay Kumar said he was inspired by GM Shaheen and it is his leadership that has bore fruits.Mudasir said that being a Kashmiri it is his prime responsibility to represent the aspirations and demands of people of Kashmir at national level.
