Jammu and Kashmir police chief on Tuesday said that nothing could be said on the presence of ISIS in Kashmir until the militants involved in the killing of a policeman in Soura are not caught.
ISIS on its media website A’maq claimed responsibility for Soura attack and also displayed the image of snatched rifle on it.
A policeman on guard duty outside the residence of a senior Hurriyat leader was killed by the attackers before decamping with his rifle in Soura.
Director General of Police SP Vaid told “since it is on their website and they have displayed image of snatched weapon. They are claiming it”.
DGP said from their side unless the attackers are not caught nothing concrete can be said. “From our side we can say that unless we don’t catch…we can’t say anything,” DGP said.
