The Deputy Commissioner directed the ARTO to cancel the RCs, Driving Licences and Permits of the seized vehicles, besides directing the respective Tehsildars to lodge FIR against the violators.

Deputy Commissioner expressed his resentment over the indiscriminate mining despite section 144 is already imposed in a place where illegal mining is taking place.

He was also shocked over the insensitivity and failure of enforcement agencies over implementing lockdown amid COVID-19 threat.

He reiterated the zero-tolerance policy of the District administration against illegal mining and asked the concerned to act tough against the violators.
