One dead, another injured in Bandipora mishap

One person was killed while another suffered injuries after a vehicle they were traveling in met with an accident in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday late afternoon.

An police official told news agency, that a vehicle (Maruti 800) bearing registration number JK15-3734 was on way to Bandipora from Turkpora village when it skidded off the road and rolled down in a field, resulting in on spot death of one person and left another injured.

He said “the injured was rushed to a Nearby health centre where from he was referred to District Hospital Bandipora” He identified the deceased as Abdul Kareem of Turkpora village. The injured was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad of Turkpora Bandipora. “A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations taken up” he said. (KNO)
