The opposition parties on Wednesday decided to boycott the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s response on Governor’s address.
Earlier, the opposition created uproar in the House and demanded a response from the government over the killing of a youth in Kulgam yesterday.
Minister for parliamentary affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri told the House that the government has ordered magisterial inquiry to probe the killing.
“Besides opposition, it is equally a concern for us as well,” he told the House.
But National Conference working president Omar Abdullah retorted by saying that the statement should have come from the Chief Minister herself in the House.
“We are not satisfied with the reply of Veeri sahab. Now later, mohtarma CM sahiba will come and give her long speech here which we are not ready to listen here,” Omar said.
As Omar was speaking, CM Mehbooba Mufti appeared in the House but he continued his speech and later left the House.
He was followed by all opposition members from the NC and Congress.
