PDD Employee Electrocuted on Duty in Ramban

Ramban, Dec 8 : A Power Development Department (PDD) worker suffered severe electric shock while repairing an LT line in Gool, Ramban, officials said on Monday.

Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The employee, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad, son of Abdul Gani Manhas and a resident of Gool Ramban, aged around 37, was initially taken to GMC Anantnag for treatment. Doctors there referred him to SMHS Hospital Srinagar due to his critical condition.

Mushtaq Ahmad received a high-voltage electric shock during repair work, resulting in multiple burn injuries, they said.

Cognizance of the incidenthas been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
