Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation tonight at 8 pm in wake of swelling number of Corona virus patients across the country, officials said.

PMO India tweeted, “Shri @narendramodi will be addressing the nation at 8 PM this evening”.

On May 11, Prime Minister Modi chaired a crucial meet with several Chief Ministers and UT heads and discussed post-Covid-19 situation across the country. He asked participants of the meet to share blueprint for extension of lockdown by May 15.

Reports said that several heads of States and UTs impressed upon PM Modi to continue lockdown across the country for overpowering the pandemic as there is no let up in Covid-19 spike.

It is to mention that more than 71,000 cases have been reported across the Country with 2300 death while May 11 crossed the toll of past days with 4213 cases recorded in a single day.
