The district police in Ganderbal Saturday book a social media user who was using abusing, threatening comments on the platform.
As per the police, the person had used abusing / threat comments in a text message of an official Facebook account of District Police Ganderbal.
Meanwhile Ganderbal police have registered a case Fir No. 74/2020 in this regard under section 506, 505 IPC at police station Ganderbal.
In this connection SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmed Poswal-JKPS constituted a team headed by SHO Police Station Sadder Ganderbal Insp Khursheed Ahmad to nab the culprit.
During investigating this case, surveillance unit (ESU) Ganderbal intercepted the accused’s Facebook account (Rancho Khan), the said account is operating by one namely Tawseef Ahmad S/o Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/o Padshahi Bagh Tilwanpora, Srinagar.
The said the accused was accordingly arrested by the said team. SSP Ganderbal warned to refrain from misuse of social media platforms and circulation of unauthenticated information etc through such platforms.
Any person found indulging in such activities will be dealt with strictly under Law.
