Bandipora, 23/12/24:(DMS) As part of the ongoing Sushasan Saptah 2024, “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, a District Level Dissemination Workshop was today held at Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
The event highlighted innovative governance practices focused on promoting digital transformation, enhancing citizen engagement, and improving service delivery at the grassroots level.
The workshop aimed to showcase the district’s strides in governance through technology and people-centric initiatives.
Former Administrative Secretary Agricultural Production Department Manzoor Ahmad Lone was the chief guest on the ocassion.
In his address, Manzoor Ahmad Lone emphasized the importance of good governance as the cornerstone of public administration.
He elaborated on the government’s efforts to monitor and improve service delivery by implementing measurable performance indicators across different sectors.
Lone, highlighted the need for a sincere and committed approach among government officials to address public grievances and ensure the efficient implementation of policies.
Stressing the importance of citizen-centric governance, he urged Goverment officials to adopt a compassionate approach while dealing with the public.
Lone also lauded the district administration for its innovative governance practices and emphasized the role of technology in transforming service delivery.
Earlier in his welcome address, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, outlined the objectives of the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign, aimed at bringing governance closer to the people and ensuring accessibility, transparency, and accountability.
He highlighted the district’s achievements in leveraging digital tools and technology-driven solutions to address public needs effectively.
The DC emphasized that the district administration is committed to bridging the gap between the government and citizens by implementing initiatives that are inclusive and responsive to the people’s aspirations.
He encouraged officials to adopt innovative approaches, actively engage with the public, and address their concerns promptly to build trust and strengthen governance.
The workshop featured a series of activities aimed at showcasing the district’s governance efforts.
Beneficiaries of various government schemes shared their stories, detailing how the initiatives have positively impacted their lives.
A series of short films were showcased, highlighting innovative district-level governance practices and their role in improving service delivery.
In his concluding address, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, delivered the vote of thanks.
He appreciated the collective efforts of various departments in making the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” campaign a resounding success.
Bhatt highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bringing governance to the people’s doorsteps and encouraged continued collaboration to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Among others, the workshop was attended by ADC Zaffar Husson Shawl, DPO Yaar Ali Khan, ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, , ACD Irfan Bahadur, CPO Mohammad Maqbool Lone, District Officers of various Departments, government officials, Civil Society members and beneficiaries of various welfare schemes.(DMS)
