Srinagar, Sep 19 : Dalgate Traders Association Tuesday staged a protest to press for the redressal of their multiple grievances.

The traders alleged that even after the expiry of three years and despite completing all the formalities, flood affected traders did not get the relief.

The traders who assembled near Badiyar Chowk Dalgate said that they are facing problems due to non-serious attitude of the government.

“Despite being the tourist hub, all the street lights are dysfunctional. Unbriddled mobile vendors have become a source of continuous nuisance for us as due to their illegal practices, our trade has suffered tremendously,” the protesting traders told news agency CNS adding that due to faulty drainage system, an ordinary downpour turn roads into lakes.

The traders appealed government to redress their problems at an earliest.
