Earlier, Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder Shahid Afridi also tested positive for Covid-19.

Karachi Kings suffer a major setback as star all-rounder and former captain Imad Wasim and Jordan Thompson returned a positive result for Covid-19 ahead of the opening match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Imad Wasim and Jordan Thompson will miss out on the opening clash between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans.

Kings’ left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir will also be unavailable for the opening match due to a hamstring injury.

Karachi’s new captain Babar Azam will lead his side without their main players against a strong-looking Multan Sultans.

Earlier, Quetta Gladiators’ all-rounder Shahid Afridi also tested positive for Covid-19.

The seventh edition of PSL will kick off today at the National Stadium Karachi where Karachi kings will lock horns with defending champions Multan Sultans.
