The Army Day 2025 celebrations in Pune became a moment of pride for Tithwal, a serene village rich in history and heritage, as it shone brightly among the eight destinations featured in the newly launched Battlefield Tourism Portal.

During the event, Sadiya, a Class XI student from Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar, emerged as a standout representative of her village’s military and cultural legacy.

Speaking via video conference from the iconic Azmat-e-Hind Memorial in Tithwal, Sadiya extended a heartfelt invitation to Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh, urging him and the countrymen to visit this historic border village. Her words carried the pride and spirit of her community, resonating with the audience.

The Raksha Mantri graciously acknowledged her invitation, expressing his deep admiration for Tithwal’s significance and promising to visit the village soon. His commitment brought smiles and hope to the people of Tithwal, reaffirming their place in India’s military heritage.

The Battlefield Tourism Portal, inaugurated during the event, highlights Tithwal as one of eight iconic locations offering a glimpse into India’s military history. It aims to foster greater awareness of these landmarks while promoting tourism in lesser-known yet historically vital destinations.

Sadiya, a proud brand ambassador of Tithwal’s heritage, reflected the aspirations of her village during her interaction with the Raksha Mantri. Her poise and passion highlighted Tithwal’s potential as a premier destination in India’s growing battlefield tourism sector.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Brig S. K. Pradhan, VSM, Commander of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, personally thanked and felicitated Sadiya for her remarkable contributions in making the event a resounding success.

Her dedication and efforts were celebrated as a shining example of the promise and potential of Tithwal’s youth. The Army Day 2025 celebrations, with their focus on honouring India’s armed forces and showcasing the nation’s historic battlegrounds, underscored the immense pride and potential of villages like Tithwal in preserving and sharing India’s rich legacy.
