Independent Kashmir legislator and Awami Ittehad party chairman Er Rasheed on Wednesday said that he was ready to meet everyone from Pakistan-based Jamat-u-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed to Shiv Sena leader Udhav Thackeray to for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

“For Kashmir problem, I am ready to meet everyone from Hafiz Saeed to Udhav Thackeray, since problem is ours and we are dying,” said Rasheed.

Replying to a question that Saeed is not a stakeholder, Rasheed said; “He is not a stakeholder but his demon is showing on whole India. If he is really sending militants here, I will tell him to stop sending militants and come to the table for talks”.

Rasheed also asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to discuss their position related to Kashmir.

On the recent appointment of Centre’s interlocutor to the Valley, Rasheed said Dineshwar Sharma was given limited mandate, while no effort was made to create conducive atmosphere for talks.

“Dineshwar Sharma is a noble soul. He cannot do anything, since his mandate was confined to meeting patwaris and vendors. He should have talked directly to mainstream parties and the Hurriyat,” said Rasheed.
