Book focuses on mental health of children, how to prevent, promote and management of mental health and wellbeing of whole school approach
Principal Renu Narula GTB Elementary School Malout today released Book, “School Teacher Handbook and Manual” authored by well known writer and retired Principal Vijay Garg. On this occasion senior teacher Madam Babita Sethi was also present. Principal Renu Narula speaking during Book release function appreciated works of Vijay Garg done in education field . She said that this book is very useful for school teacher how to handle students who are suffering from mental health, also how to handle disabled students who can’t understand the study’s in classroom. She further said that this book written by Vijay Garg will always work for guidance for students and teachers, society and very helpful for school teachers. Speaking on the objecting of releasing Book, Vijay Garg said that Book is related with mental health of children -a growing challenge, how to prevention, promotion and Management of mental health and wellbeing -a whole school approach. Also book highlights National Education Policy (NEP-2020) perspective on pedagogy and guideline to develop a lesson plan as per the vision of NEP -2020.Book contains child sexual abuse, aggression and violence , also self-harm and suicidal behaviours. Garg in the Book has mentioned how to protection of children from sexual offences and role of school in special circumstances and need of protection. Classroom behaviour of students and the adolescent Peer educators leadership program for life skills, communication issues for new students, problem of anxiety in children, how to handle depressive states in children, also excessive internet used by children, intellectual disability in children, specific learning in disabled students
