A Territorial Army (TA) soldier was shot by terrorists on Wednesday evening in Sofigund Aripal area of Tral, located in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

According to a police official, the attack occurred outside the soldier’s residence. The victim has been identified as Delhair Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Sofigund Khanagund.
He sustained a leg injury, and his condition is reported to be stable. Following the incident, he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A senior police official confirmed that the soldier was on leave at the time of the attack.
In response, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to apprehend the terrorists.
