CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday urges to J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to consider long-standing demand of JKAS aspirants of restoring the upper age limit to 37 for open merit candidates.
In a post on X, M Y Tarigami wrote, “JKAS aspirants were demanding the restoration of the pre-abrogation age limit of 37 for open merit candidates . However, a recent government order has fixed it at 35. Requesting @OmarAbdullah to consider their long-standing demand of restoring the upper age limit to 37.”
Earlier, The Jammu & Kashmir government has relaxed the upper age limit of candidates for the Combined Competitive Examination-2024.
As per the notification, the upper age limit for open merit candidates, reserved category and in-service candidates and physically challenged candidates would respectively be 35, 37 and 38 years.
