During the conference, Chairman Sameer Baktoo addressed Mr. Satish Sharma, Cabinet Minister for the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, underscoring the need for proactive social media marketing to counter such events. He emphasized that whenever such incidents occur, it is crucial to showcase real-time videos of tourists safely enjoying their stay in Kashmir. This approach would reassure potential visitors across the country, reinforcing Kashmir’s status as a consistently safe destination.

Mr. Sameer also highlighted the importance of revitalizing roadshows and other marketing strategies to ensure that promotional efforts reach the correct audience effectively. He advocated for the inclusion of stakeholders in the development of tourism policies to make them more impactful and representative.

The meeting concluded on a positive and collaborative note, with all participants reaffirming their commitment to supporting and promoting Kashmir’s tourism sector.
