Srinagar: In view of the escalating tensions in the Middle East and the suspension of flights from Saudi Arabia, an urgent appeal has been made to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, seeking immediate intervention for the safe evacuation of Kashmiri pilgrims stranded there.
A significant number of Kashmiri pilgrims who had traveled to Saudi Arabia for religious purposes are currently stuck due to the sudden suspension of commercial flights. Their families back home are deeply anxious as uncertainty looms and concerns grow over further escalation in the region.
It has been strongly urged that the Government of Jammu & Kashmir coordinate closely with the Government of India and the Ministry of External Affairs to arrange special chartered flights at the earliest to ensure the safe return of these pilgrims. Immediate and decisive action is essential to prevent hardship and provide relief to distressed families.
The people of Jammu & Kashmir place their trust in the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and sincerely hope for swift measures to bring the stranded pilgrims back home safely.
